Projects

ISPC is currently involved in the following Projects:

Winchester WiFi - now at the trial stage, Winchester WiFi is an initiative to offer free Wireless-based access at a number of key locations in Winchester, Hampshire. For more detail see Projects.
Technology and service roadmap - working with a leading electronics manufacturer to define an equipment roadmap that matches increasing technological capability and complexity, to the needs of Internet Service Providers facing decreasing margins, in a cost competitive market.
'Baffled by Broadband' - currently in development, this is the prototype of a support website for mainstream Internet users who do not really care about Megabits, Gigabytes, and WiFi, but just want to be able to use the Internet safely and reliably.

Previous project activity includes:

Service Improvement Programme - a 9 month programme focused on the need to reduce Customer propensity to call. For more detail see Projects.
Content Distribution by P2P - please refer to the Press Release
Messaging Anti-Abuse - definition of the Service Specification for a tactical implementation of an e-mail Anti-Spam solution. For more detail see Projects.
Security and Fraud Resolution - a low profile programme that brought about resolution and future prevention of security abuses and fraudulent behaviour. This involved technology and process change across a base of in excess of 1 Million users, and exceeded all targets.
